WaveDeck Privacy Policy & Disclaimer

Effective Date: March 1, 2026

Thank you for using WaveDeck (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). We attach great importance to your privacy and data security. This page explains how the App collects, uses, and protects your information.

I. Privacy Policy

1. Information Collection

The App does not actively collect any personal identifiable information. During use, the App will never require you to register, log in, create a profile, or upload any personal data. The App functions primarily offline, with network access strictly limited to fetching standard time from public Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers.

2. Time Signal and Audio Processing

3. Logs and Diagnostic Information

Unless you proactively choose to "Send Feedback" or "Report an Issue", the App does not collect any diagnostic logs, synchronization history, or usage statistics. If you reach out to us, we may collect minimal necessary information (such as OS version, App build number) to assist in resolving the issue.

4. Third-Party Services

The App does not embed any third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, or cloud storage SDKs. All signal synthesis and time calculation logic run independently on your device.

5. Data Security

The App strictly complies with the Apple platform App Sandbox security model, operating with minimal necessary system privileges. It does not access private files, contacts, photos, or device sensor records.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 years of age and does not collect any information from children.

7. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will supersede earlier versions and be published within the App and on this webpage.

II. Disclaimer

1. Scope of Use

The App is intended as an auxiliary utility for synchronizing and calibrating radio-controlled watches, clocks, and timepieces using acoustic harmonic simulation of standard radio time signals. Users must use the App in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

2. Acoustic Output and Hearing Safety

The App generates high-frequency acoustic signals through your device speakers or headphones to simulate radio wave time codes.

3. Synchronization Accuracy and Environmental Factors

The success and speed of radio time calibration depend heavily on various external factors, including watch receiver sensitivity, internal antenna orientation, ambient acoustic or electromagnetic noise, speaker frequency response, and device placement. While WaveDeck implements precise time code protocols, we cannot guarantee 100% synchronization success for every timepiece model or under all environmental conditions.

4. Time Signal Standards and Radio Stations

The App simulates public radio time signal formats (including JJY40/JJY60, BPC, WWVB, and MSF). These standard radio broadcast services are operated independently by their respective national standards institutions (such as NICT in Japan, NTSC in China, NIST in the United States, and NPL in the United Kingdom). WaveDeck is an independent simulation tool and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or operated by any government timekeeping or standard radio authority.

5. Device Battery and Power Consumption

Real-time audio signal synthesis and continuous speaker output require processing power and audio hardware engagement, which will consume device battery. Users are advised to stop wave transmission once time synchronization is completed.

6. Software Updates

We may release updates periodically to enhance signal modulation algorithms, improve synchronization reliability, or resolve compatibility issues. Users are responsible for keeping the App updated.

III. Additional Notice

WaveDeck is an independently developed utility with no affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship by Apple Inc., Casio, Citizen, Seiko, or any other watch manufacturer or radio station operator. All watch brand names, trademarks, and radio station designations are the property of their respective owners and are used strictly for descriptive compatibility purposes.
